Yea I feel the same everytime I put hispanic on the application. I wonder if I put black and white will I get the job.
i doubt youd get it if you put black.
we go through the same discrimination
Yea do not put Black. I know Latinos and Hispanics get shit on, but I really don’t understand how so many of yall are convinced regular Black folks don’t too. No its not an oppression contest, but it does genuinely shock me. I applied for at least 50-75 jobs before I decided to put mixed on one application. My name is already “white.” I got a call back within 24 hours and an interview within the week. I had a straight weave in my hair that I extended for an extra week cause I knew I probably wouldn’t get the job if I had my natural hair out.
Anonymous said: why do black people use you in the wrong context? such is "you ugly" instead of "you're ugly" I know u guys can differentiate, it's a nuisance
you a bitch
It’s called copula deletion, or zero copula. Many languages and dialects, including Ancient Greek and Russian, delete the copula (the verb to be) when the context is obvious.
So an utterance like “you a bitch” in AAVE is not an example of a misused you, but an example of a sentence that deletes the copular verb (are), which is a perfectly valid thing to do in that dialect, just as deleting an /r/ after a vowel is a perfectly valid thing to do in an upper-class British dialect.
Oooh. Kill em.
Like father , like daughter
Makes sexual joke
*low key seeing if you’re down*
When we live in a world where you can access free content of naked consenting women in less than 5 seconds, why are people still invading the privacy of non-consenting women for nudes?
Hint: It has something to do with people feeling entitled to making any woman their personal porn, even if it violates or humiliates her in the process.
